Additional Compensation: Performance bonus
Target total compensation of $85,000+ per year. Target compensation is not guaranteed; it reflects base salary plus performance bonus at expected performance.
About the Role
Conroe Digital is a remote-first digital marketing agency serving local businesses in Conroe, The Woodlands, and Montgomery County, Texas. We are hiring a Client Relationship Manager to be the primary, trusted point of contact for a set of local-business clients.
You will make sure clients understand where their marketing is going and why, keep expectations honest, and catch problems early. You do not need to be the technical expert executing every campaign; you need to understand the work deeply enough to explain it, defend it, and know when to bring in the specialists who do.
This role sits inside the Client Success track with a defined path toward Director of Client Success.
What You'll Own
- Own the relationship and communication cadence for an assigned set of clients.
- Run regular check-ins that report results in plain English and set expectations honestly.
- Spot scope creep, misunderstandings, and dissatisfaction early, and raise them internally before they become emergencies.
- Coordinate with Product & Delivery so client requests land with the right people and the right timelines.
- Keep accurate notes so any teammate can pick up a client conversation without losing context.
What Success Looks Like
- Clients know what is happening, why, and what comes next, without chasing us for updates.
- Renewals and referrals are evidence the relationships work; churn sources are understood, not mysterious.
- Problems are raised early, internally, with a proposed next step.
- Your commitments are met, or renegotiated early and honestly.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Professional communication experience with clients, customers, or accounts.
- Ability to explain technical or strategic work in plain language.
- Comfort with honest conversations, including when the news is not good.
- Lives within approximately a 45-minute drive of the Conroe/Montgomery County area.
Helpful, Not Required
- Experience in an agency, consultancy, or other service business.
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and vocabulary.
Where You'll Work
This is a remote position designed for someone based close to the communities Conroe Digital serves.
You'll perform your day-to-day work remotely, but you should generally live within approximately a 45-minute drive of the Conroe/Montgomery County area so you can meet with clients or participate locally when being there in person makes sense.
There is no daily office commute associated with the role.
